Benjamin Moore is one of the most popular brands. I USED to be easy to apply and had great coverage. somewhere along the line they changed the formula and now I can almost guarantee you will need a second coat.
I like Behr (Home Depot). Good quality, reasonable price. You may also need two coats but it will cost less. Behr also dries quickly and you can re-coat the same day. Also, check out the Ralph Lauren color chips. The HD guy can match anyone of them in Behr.

I haven't heard of the brands of paint that you listed (and I don't know your location), but I can tell you that one NOT to use is the Home Depot brand of paint. I think it's called Behr. We just painted our home a year and a half ago (we prepped it really well) and the paint is already starting to flake off. I'm really disappointed in the paint. The Sears brand of paint, however, I have used before and was really pleased with it. I think it's called Easy Living, and it was less expensive than the Home Depot brand. I have learned that the more expensive paint is not the best interior paint. If you find a color at a paint store that you really like, you can usually take the paint chip to another store and they can match the color with their paint. the norm is 25-30 min. When I paint i cut in 1st then roll and the time it takes to get around the room the wall I started with is dry and I can put on a 2nd coat if need.

Interior paint is not made to withstand the weather. Exterior paint is chemically, a superior paint, and thus, it tends to cost more. Since you mention painting walls and the door... I will also add this... the type of surface you are painting will also dictate to some extent, what kind of paint you must use. I prefer enamel, or epoxy base paints for metal objects. It dries to a harder, tougher surface. For wood and other porous surfaces, I prefer to use a good oil base paint. Any good paint store can make both kinds of paint match in color if that is what you want. (Due to the chemical differences, they will go on as slightly different colors, but will dry to the same color) I wont even use interior wall paint on the 'inside' surface of a steel door... I buy enamel paint for that, and have it tinted to match if necessary.
We havent even scratched the surface between what kinds of finish you can get with paint either.... flat, semi gloss, or high gloss... typically, a door with have a 'glossier' (more shiny) finish than an interior wall.
Go down to your local paint or building supply store, and ask them about their paints, and what kind they would suggest for which surfaces, and where, you plan on painting ;)

Remove all the old paint and re-paint with an outdoor paint. You are on the right track.
I would use a pressure washer to remove as much of the old paint as possible (be careful not to get too close because the pressure from the nozzle can cut into the wood) Then prime and paint with a high quality exterior paint.
first you need to scrape off as much loose paint as you can, second wash it thouroughly with a hose or powerwasher, let it dry for 24 hours. prime with oil based primer, top coat with oil or latex...
Go to Home Depot on Saturday morning , they have free class all summer long . they can teach you all you need to know.
You can go to Home Hard Ware and buy ';hardrock'; its great paint try and watch, i've used it myself, works great!

first you need to make sure that the termites have not destroyed your porch. Im sorry but whoever told you to use household paint was an idiot. You should have painted it with an outdoor wood paint, and then apply like a thompson sealer. this will keep the paint color bright, and also keep it from getting water damage, termite damage, and keep it from warping. If you're not careful you could find yourself replacing your entire porch. The sealer will keep it from chipping.
Sand it down, prime, then paint with the right paint.
you must remove old paint first then you can repaint it properly.. I would recommend a heat gun to help remove paint but be careful to read instructions so you don't burn the porch down.....the heat is intense but no flame so its not a torch
In order to keep new OUTDOOR paint from doing the same thing you need to scrape and sand off the old paint and yes prime so you have a nice base for the new paint to adhere to. Binz makes great primes just make sure you use wood paint for wood, concrete paint for concrete and metal paint for metal if not you are just going to have the same problem even if you do scrape sand and prime!! Go to a good paint center or a local hardware/paint store. Often you will receive much better assistance then the big orange box stores.

You can wear a mask and bring a fan or two into the room aimed upwards and facing the open door. That will direct the fumes upwards and out of the room. Hope that helps!
